The concept of creating sculptures of babies and children has been an art form that has been around for centuries but was only affordable to people such as Queen Victoria who had sculptures created of her children's hands in marble. No longer is it only a unique keepsake for the wealthier person as Momentoes have made it a very accessible and affordable to those who wish to capture a moment in time.
The concept of hand and feet casting was introduced into New Zealand in 1999 by Momentoes and we are proud to be New Zealand's original hand and feet casting company.
We, Angela and Nigel Armstrong are the directors of Momentoes International Hand and Feet Casting company. We have two daughters and thanks to having them we came across the art of hand & feet casting. Both of the girls had their feet cast at four weeks of age and they are proudly displayed on our wall at home. We reside in Christchurch, New Zealand where the head office for Momentoes is located.
The company has and continues to expand at high velocity. Momentoes franchisees now operate in New Zealand, Australia and America. The main reason for this huge expansion and success is down to the end product. The detail that we are able to achieve on the sculptures is outstanding in its field and the intense training that all Momentoes franchisees receive maintains the end perfection of our product.
